Traveling
perfect for traveling. 13" model is small enough to bring almost everywhere. I have an old camera bag with a slot for a small laptop or chunky tablet, and the Air almost is swallowed in the sleeve.
Around the house
I'm able to pick up the Air confidently with one hand... while it's open! I can't do the same with my 16" MacBook Pro.
Another advantage: since the Air processor runs a lot cooler, it doesn't need active cooling, so it's silent, and I find I can more comfortably sit the laptop on my lap.
Plenty of speed
The Air isn't as fast as my MacBook Pro 16", but honestly the only time I notice it is when I'm developing locally. Every other time I don't notice a difference. As a matter of fact, I often set aside my MacBook Pro and use my MacBook Air for personal things in the evening.
Fantastic battery life
The Air will easily run all day. I've used it several times on International flights, and I was able to use it the entire flight without needing to charge it. It's officially rated for 15 hours of surfing the web, and I have been able to get close to that.
Plus, since the Air doesn't need as much power, you can actually use a power bank to extend your runtime.
iPadOS Compatibility
Since the MacBook Air uses the same processor used in the newer iPad Pros, you can run many iPad applications on it. Some might not work well, but I've been able to play several iPad games on my laptop.
